Light Design
As a theatre lighting technician, I work on the technical setup and implementation of lighting for productions. My responsibilities include setting up and operating lighting equipment, preparing and installing fixtures, and supporting the technical realization of the light show on stage. For Shows, I collaborate closely with directors, stage designers, and the technical team.
Stage Design
I work in stage design for theatre, developing the visual concept of a production from the initial idea to its realization on stage. I design and build scale models to develop the set, materials, spatial relationships, and scenic elements, which are then realized and constructed at full scale for the final stage production.
Me
Born in 2000, Onno grew up in Ulm, Germany. Since 2020, he has been studying stage and costume design under Katrin Brack (since 2025 under Judith Oswald) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He has contributed to set designs for venues such as the Deutsches Theater München and the Residenztheater, and created the set design for the Isny Opera Festival. Short films featuring his production design have won awards at the Hof International Film Festival and the Palm Springs International ShortFest. His art installation "Escarole" was acquired by the Museum Brot & Kunst Ulm in 2022. In 2023, he adopted a drag queen persona and showcased his costumes in his first solo exhibition. In the summer of 2024, he constructed sets for two theater productions: *Cyborg* (in collaboration with the Kammerspiele) and *In Linien. An Linien entlang (Gregorius als Stein)* at the Theaterakademie August Everding. In 2025, Onno participated in the Erasmus program in Milan, studying *scenografia e costumi* (set and costume design) at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Brera. Since 2026, Onno has been working as a lighting technician at the Residenztheater.
